Where it is and how to get there

The resort is part of the city of Varna, 8-9 km north-east of the centre. By road it is about 9 km and 13 minutes to central Varna without traffic, about 18 km and 26 minutes to the airport, and 7.5 km to Golden Sands (road distances from OpenStreetMap data).

Bus 409 runs from the airport: on 8 October 2026 it left every 30 minutes from 06:11 to 23:11 and took about 40 minutes to the resort. Buses 9, 31a and 109 come here from the city. A 60-minute ticket costs €1.

Mineral springs and spa

The resort has 7 hot mineral springs with water at 40-60 °C. On the seafront, the Aquahouse Thermal & Beach complex has 14 indoor and outdoor pools with mineral water, open daily from 08:30 to 20:30; the operator states it works all year.

Not only a summer resort

According to the resort, Aquahouse and the Astor Garden, Azalia and Sirius hotels are open all year; some hotels are seasonal, for example Gloria opens from May to October. Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute counted 702,956 overnight stays here in 2025, 60% of them by foreign guests. The resort is on the list of resorts of national importance.

Beaches and nature

There are several beaches along the resort's shore. The neighbouring Sunny Day (Slanchev Den) beach is on the 2026 Blue Flag list and has received it every year since 1996. The Ecopark Varna botanical garden of Sofia University, 36 hectares, is inside the resort, and Golden Sands Nature Park begins 3.5 km to the north.

Everyday life

The resort has Lidl and A-Market supermarkets, pharmacies, ATMs and bank branches in the Primorski shopping centre, a post office and a clinic. The French international school is half a kilometre away, and Eurohospital is 2.6 km in a straight line.
